Privacy Policy

Da Phone Booth ("we," "us," or "our") is a photo booth service operated by Blue Goo, Inc. It lets guests at an event upload photos and videos from their phones, which the event's operator may display in a gallery, show on a screen, and print on site. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the service, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Who is responsible for your information. Each event is run by an event organizer or operator — for example the host of a wedding or party, or a business that has licensed our service. That organizer decides what happens at their event and is a controller of the information collected there. We provide and operate the technology on their behalf. If you have questions about a specific event, contact that organizer; you can also contact us using the details at the bottom of this policy.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Your name.
- Your phone number — only if you choose to provide it, so we can text you about your photos (see "Text Messages" below).
- Your email address and Instagram handle — only if the event's form asks for them and you choose to provide them.
- Photos and videos you upload.
- Messages, comments, and reactions you add — for example a guestbook note, a comment on a photo, or an emoji reaction.
Information contained in the media you upload
Photos and videos carry technical metadata created by the camera or phone. When you upload a file, we may read and store:
- The date and time the photo or video was taken.
- The device or camera model used.
We do not collect or store location (GPS) data from your photos, even when your camera has recorded it.
Information collected automatically
- A device identifier. We store a random token in your browser so the service can recognize your device across visits — for example to group your uploads and remember reactions you have made. It does not identify you by name and is not used for advertising.
- Operator accounts. If you are an event operator, we store a login session so you stay signed in.
How We Use Your Information
- Photos and videos: displayed in the event gallery and on event screens, and — if the operator approves them — printed on site. They are stored so the operator can review, curate, download, and share them for the event.
- Name: shown alongside your contributions in the operator's dashboard and, where relevant, the event gallery.
- Phone number: used only to send you the text messages described below. We do not use it for our own marketing.
- Email and Instagram handle: used only for the purpose the event's form describes (for example, so the organizer can share the gallery with you).
- Messages, comments, and reactions: shown to other guests and the operator as part of the event experience.
- Metadata and the device identifier: used to operate, organize, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
Text Messages (SMS)
If you provide your phone number, you may receive automated text messages related to your event. Depending on how the operator has set up the event, these can include:
- A one-time confirmation when you sign up, confirming that you have opted in.
- A notification when your photo has been printed.
- A message after the event with a link to view the event's photos.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages, and HELP for help. Mobile opt-in information and messaging consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing. We share it only as needed to run the service:
- With the event organizer / operator, who receives the photos, videos, messages, and the information you submitted for their event.
- With service providers who process data on our behalf, under contracts that limit them to providing their service to us:
| Provider | Purpose | Location |
| Cloudflare (R2) | Stores uploaded photos and videos | United States |
| Fly.io | Hosts the application and database | United States |
| Twilio | Delivers the text messages described above | United States |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
Data Retention
We keep photos, videos, and the information associated with them for as long as needed to provide the service to the event organizer — generally through the event and for as long as the organizer keeps the material in their account with us. When an organizer deletes content or closes their event, or when you ask us to delete your own content, we remove it from the live service and it is deleted from our backups in the ordinary course. We may retain limited records where the law requires it.
Security
Your uploads and information are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with our cloud providers using access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Children
Our service is intended for use by adults at events and is not directed to children under 13. Guests may appear in photos taken at an event, including children; if you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Choices and Rights
- Access or deletion. You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete your photos or personal information. Contact us using the details below and identify the event.
- Text messages. Reply STOP to any message to opt out.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information under applicable law. We will honor those rights as required.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
